I had to work up in Washington this week (unfortunatly two late nigths so
never got to met up with Colin) so took the bike (XJ900).

I had a fairly decent blat up via Barnard Castle on Monday.

Then today decided to make a few route changes for the return journey.
Middleton in Teeside had some great roads in, then the road to Brough,
followed by the B road to Hawes, over to Ingleton (bite to eat at Ribble
head and chat to old bloke on a BMW R60 ) and finally a drop down to the
M6 at J34 before heading hoem to catch some rays in the garden while
    supping beer.

The speed of some of the roads suprised me around Middleton, for B roads
they were fast and the Road to Hawes from Kirkby Stephen was also
    suprisingly nippy.

As I said, a great day out.

Yes, a bit distracting at times.

Sounds good. You really have to ride most of those roads twice - once
for the fun and once for the view.
