What a great day - not!

I`ve got to say that today was not a good day to teach CBTs - Cant
remember the last time I have been that wet and cold. Had to abandon
the off road bit as the playground we use was flooded! Got home and
needed help to get out of my kit - and the bath was plain painful!
Oh well - time to sit down in front of the telly with a bottle of wine
and a pizza. And if anyone watches Top Gear tonight watch out for me
    in the background!

Is that in work clothing or alien garb?

Did he take you up on the bike ride offer BTW?

Normal clothes I`m afraid. I spoke to JC and he said "No chance" - he
did admit that a lot of his views are done for reaction and that
although he isnt into bikes himself he does understand the appeal and
loves watching GP bikes. Richard Hammond is *big* into his bikes
though - rides a GSXR1000 K3 and an R1150GS for his "town hack".
James May likes older bikes - mostly British stuff.
Hammond explained that there are no plans for bikes on top gear. In
his words "bikers know too much about bikes so if we did a bike piece
it would have to be very detailed - which would turn off the mass
market of car drivers who generally dont know nearly as much about
    cars"
And contrary to what the general impression might be Simon Cowell is a
gentleman and was more than happy to sign anything/have his photo
taken or just chat about anything - very down to earth chap really!

And with Bear gone, JP is reduced to dropping hints regarding his
    own whereabouts.

I watched it specially too. Is it normally so spontaneously scripted?

Didn't you notice the group of three or four very upright gentlemen in white
shirts and black ties in the background
of the Hilux demolition piece? I'm fairly sure JP was in the back row...

Noe. Actually I thought that might have been the bit he was in, so I
    was watching fairly closely.

    Dammit - I watched it but I didn't see you :~((

Do you know who the new Stig is? I was quite impressed by Cowell, to
go faster than the luscious Jodie and J-Kay.

Luckily, I was out on Sunday. It was still damp and cold today though.

    Missed it.

What was the format of the day? I'm going down to Dunsfold in a couple of
weeks for one of the shows, and any advacne information about what to expect
    would be useful.

    Cheers
