Maybe a minority in the population as a whole, but possibly not on
here. I'm certainly with you on this.

I enjoy watching most sports without being an active 'supporter' of
any team and like most people I do enjoy seeing the underdog win so
Barnsley beating Liverpool gave me a laugh nearly as much as it did
    Adie.

    Oh, indeed it did.

Not only did United give Arsenal a lesson in attacking football (which
was especially pleasing, given their self-proclaimed 'best footballing
team in the country, ever' tag), to see Liverpool go out to a bunch of
nobodies with an injury time winner was just superb.

I reckon they should make Rafa manager for life....

I 'support' Derby County on the basis I can always say oh - derby lost
again without ever actually needing an awareness of the scores, or who
    they played.

This is about the only thing that I've seen "football" and "funny" in
    the same sentance:

What is it with these derby teams? Here it's as important for
Sunderland to loose as Newcastle to win - and vice versa if you're a
    mackem.

In Liverpool (the city) its different. we hate them. they hate
    Manchester United.

so its especially pleasing that United won so well on they day they
    lost to Barnsley.

  10. I hope you bought her the 2.0FSI...

The only issues we've had was when one of the side flaps' actuator
springs had a snapped (plastic) ball-joint socket, so the flap
wouldn't move. VW had it replaced the next day.

One of the buttons on the stereo has stopped working, but a new one is
    being fitted this week.

Thanks, that looks really neat. Not quite the macho type favoured where
we were today. After the last session the car park was like a scene from
the dam busters. I think it would be perfect for a quick sluice down to
remove the worst of the mortar before loading up.

Looks like we will be having regular outings. Despite not being able to
catch a 50 auto (ridden by the track owner's son) and a very quick KX65,
the lad was doing very well on an unfamiliar machine second time on a
proper track. Only one off, despite it getting very rutted on some table
top launches and some fast washboard sections towards the end of the
    day.

Should anyone else fancy a go on the dirt, and have a suitable bike, I
would recommend J4M54. Very well organised. A track challenging enough
to be enjoyable without being too daunting for newbies. Separate
sessions for kids, intermediates and adults.
