As I'm looking to purchase a new bike, I'd be very grateful if anyone
can weigh on on their picks of the best 1-3 new models released this
year and/or give a link to any helpful article/s to read, reviewing
the writer or writers' pick of the better models released in 2010 and
    saying why.

  3. Fortunately you provided enough detail about the kind of riding you do
and the appropriate price range to allow us to make a recommendation.
There is only one motorcycle released in the last 20 years that would
    suit you:

  4. Nobody on this ng will have ridden them all so nobody can give a value
    judgement, only an uninformed opnion.

Read the press roadtests and reviews yourself.

Given the obvious class and intellect of the OP I would have thought this
    might be more his style.

Best for what? Fun, commuting, touring, track days, learning, showing
off, motor cross, green laning, Paris - Dakar . . .

No one bike could be 'best' for all of these.

That's quite possibly the most moronic question I've ever seen on
    usenet. Well done.

Oh, well, in that case, I forgive him. Or possibly her. Smart kid.

And I'm entirely on the side of Apple in this case. Their PR department
more than likely have better things to do than help a self-important
student journalist complete a paper. And by better things, I mean
"ignoring genuine requests from genuine journalists".

    If that's true, it must've been pre-Nige days - he didn't call her a
    cum-sponging ****-bubble.

That's quite perceptive, and accurate. I have been known to use the
    term "powered velocipede", mind you.

    In communiqué
I prefer "motorised velocipede", to avoid any suggestion of "pedal
    power".

  18. I'm not sure that's true. I sometimes use 'motorbike' but when I think
about it it's generally when speaking to people who don't ride.
