As the title, what helmet is so easy to take off?

Lebanon is N° 2 on my list of fav countries in the ME. Syria is
somewhere I'd really like to visit.

I spent a year and a half there in my hippie daze (72-74.) Did 6
months on an Ulpan (immersion Hebrew course,) then traveled and worked
from the Golan Heights to Sharm el Sheikh. Worked bartender,
construction, film industry, youth hostels, kibbutzim, etc. I was
working at the youth hostel in Ein Gedi on the Dead Sea when the Yom
Kippur war broke out. Stayed there after they evacuated the tourists.
Since there wasn't much work, I spent a lot of time going primitive up
the canyons while F14s roared overhead. I had a great time, in spite
of the Israelis. The country is great, the people suck. It's one of
those places with beautiful landscape (that is remarkably similar to
Southern California,) and a historical feel that is palpable. And in
1.5 years, I don't think I ever heard a native Israeli ever say
    "please" or "thank you."

I also remember thinking then that the place only had another 50 years
left before it imploded. Less than 15 now. hmmm.

You can't put a price on courtesy.

Not true. The warmest hospitality I received while there was from
    Palestinians.
Israelis are the most pragmatic people on Earth. They do dismiss
courtesy as irrelevant. But when you travel to other countries where
life is even more fragile and see that courtesy is even more
respected, the Israeli custom sinks to mere rudeness.

  17. Heh. when was that? Yom Kippur War, wasn't it? Can't remember now.

At least the Front-Wheels hit the Yanks. If it had been the other way
around, the Yanks would probably have hit the QE2.

  18. Splendid. So we're agreed they're polite and the Red Sea Pedestrians
    aren't. Thanks.

(OK, so it was the Six Day War, not Yom Kippur, but I did say I couldn't
    remember)
    Just as well.
