    Translating 'super motard' in English to Portugese is very interesting.

    I saw it mentioned in Frederick Forsyth's "Day of the Jackal", and novel
    written in the early 1970s.

    It was in the context of French police riding motards in a protective
    detail for the French president De Gaulle. I can only assume that it's
    French for motorbike or at least, some form of bike.

    Although this one probably best describes those who ride them....

  8. (sigh) For the xyz'th time:

    Moto=motorbike
    Motard=motorbike rider.

    In French, words with the suffixes of -ard of -and, among a few others, are
    generally nouns which describe someone (a masculine someone, specifically)
    in terms of something they do (bleah)...

    Another example:

    Montagne=mountain
    Montagnard=mountaineer.

    = very small brown mountaineer-type person from Loatian border region of
    Vietnam, where coincidentally the French are roundly detested (as in the
    rest of the world).

    Ok we're not getting any closer. Supermotard seems to be used in the context
    of a type of bike or class of racing?
    "Super motorcyclist" doesn't really give much more info.
