The latest shitfight in Australian real estate is some dodgy
wankers who sold units 'off the plan' to, amongst others, a
bunch of Chinese customers who understood that the finished
building was going to be 18 storeys high.

Council knocked back the original 18 storey development and
let them build to 14 instead, and the developers didn't bother
with the small matter of letting the customers know. Play racial
ignorance, and the change is irrelevant. Play half-a-clue, and
the change becomes a significant material issue. All the Chinese
punters want out (obviously) and the morons who built the joint
have decided that they want out 'cos property prices are down
or something.


I'm hoping that the developers get stuffed down the same
hole that the Australian (by race) real estate agents that
sold the Gonzales family home to a Chinese customer without
bothering to mention the small matter of a multiple homicide
on the premises got stuffed down.

I don't understand, GB. The real estate agent is in the business of selling
property, not history, superstitions or cultural beliefs. If the buyer is
so concerned then it's up to them to get a pre-purchase ghostbusters and
building inspection.

Interestingly, a few people have been put off buying the property next door
to me because old Albert blew his head off with a shotgun a while back.
It's got me beat. It's had new carpet and paint since then! All they had to
do was talk to prospective neighbours.

When I ordered a hamburger in Thailand and got horse on a roll I didn't turn
it into a racial issue...

don't use them. It's quicker to take the stairs.

Hmmm, 23 flights of stairs, I'm fairly confident in saying that it would
take me longer to climb them than the 20 or 30 seconds it takes to go up
the lift.
