    2007 Honda XL 650 V,
    i know i need a 10W-40 or a 15W-40, i dont ride the thing in freezing
conditions, so i'll go for the 15W.

But is it standard dino oil, semi synth, fully synth or something else?

i've got the fucking manual (well handbook) infront of me now,

it tells me what temp ratings to use, but says sod all about if it
    needs/wants any particular flavour.

i'm imagining as it's an old engine design, it'll be bog standard dino oil,
but i just wanted to check, will prolly put a semi synth in it, but wanted
to know if there'd be any problems doing that.

I believe he uses the "drag the finger along the page and mouth the words"
    technique.

Of course, all that motor control is likely to overload the available
    synapses and compromise comprehension.

Nevertheless, we should adopt an equal opportunities approach and let him
have a go before we label him with the "fucking retard" appellation.

You've been working in the touchy-feely industry for far too long. Get a
    fucking grip!

Don't be daft. It's another 19 years before I can collect the index linked,
    final salary pension.

  11. Don't. Buy the 10/40
Semi-synth is fine. Even decent quality dino oil, if you change it
    regularly and frequently.

On the flounceometer, that registered between 1 and 2.

Now Des did proper flounces. Too many bloody times unfortunately.

(Oh, and what's the betting that when he does come back, he'll be replying to
    posts that are months old.)

Here's one for starters then ...

    http://www.wideasleepinamerica.com/2009/04/rotten-orchard.html

"The soldiers, ... "confessed that they'd knowingly shot civilians to
death in Gaza, that they'd intentionally vandalized Palestinian homes,
and that the rules of engagement in the war - rules handed down from
above - were exceptionally permissive." ..."
