What should I do PART 2

This story just Keeps getting better.

Well on my way to return the tyres (Tyres had done around 50km by this time)
I had to do a U-TURN (Not a tight one because I had 4 lanes to do it in, I
slowed from 80 down to 20-25 (About 1/2 the speed I normally do it),
released the breaks and then went to turn the bike around. Started to lean
the bike just a little and the Barstard BT010 front just let go and I found
my self sliding still going forward wondering why me god, why? I have ran
in Geen Tyres before (2 sets of DunlopGP70s on the 250 and the original
Dunlop 207 on the R6) and usually after 40 Km they start to get grippy,
boy was I wrong with the Bridgestone. Never have a seen a tyre not even
attempt to grip on such a dry and grippy road even with new tyres. I do
that u-Turn in the wet quicker than what I did it today thats how easy I was
    taking it. I just don't understand :-(

Anyway I scratched My yoshi link pipe, Killed another oggy (Theses things
are life savers) and destroyed the sticker covering the scratch from the
last off . After the crash I got my bearings together for a minute and then
proceeded to Action Motorcycles pretty pissed off by this time.

When I got to the store I explained how they installed the wrong tyre on the
front and the BT010 is not what I asked for. This is more of a road tyre
not a road/Track tyre and you can see this by looking at the Tread pattern
of the BT012 is more of a Slick. The guy then proceeded to tell me that
their is no difference between the two. He ended up calling Bridgestone and
they said what I said but he still proceeded to tell me that they where the
same. Anyway I went in the shop and talk to someone else, they offered to
swap it straight away and understood that I actually requested the BT012.
The guy in the service department was a dickhead.

Anyway I went back to the guy in the service department and said that they
are offering to swap it and that they had the tyre in stock (Why didn't they
install what I wanted originally I'll never know). I told him to think
himself lucky because I could launch legal action for the damage on my bike
and mental anguish all because I had the wrong tyre installed causing me to
crash. (Bit of shit but you never know, it could be true)

An interesting thing I did find out talking to the Guy in the parts
department is that the Bridgestone's seem to be more Dodgy when green than
the Dunlop, every example of people coming off on Greens had Bridgestone's
on them. May have been coincidental but at the moment I'm willing to make
    something out of nothing

Ahh I've taken to the tyres with a wire brush, that seems to work

Na I hate people who sue over something that is their fault and I don't want
to be none of them. The barstards drive up insurence premiums. I'll just
say what it takes to get the tyres I asked for :)

    The accident was my fault

Depends who you talk to.. I never had a problem ever with Bridgeys on
the 250 proddie, or the 18in slicks on the TZ or THe KR1S...

THat was one advantage I had, I went out and took off at the start, I
had to I was 20kg heavier than the rest....

    Something out of nothing :p

5 sets of 020 rears and 4 sets of either 010 or 020 fronts on my VFR800 and
not a single issue or wiggle when green. Sorry. I think it's more that the
Battleaxe's are confidence inspiring tyres and people may go a little
harder on them too early. Is it possible you missed a small amount of oil
on the road, or a hair comb that whisk away when the bike slipped on it
    etc.?

    Cheers,
    Jason

  11. Definately making something out of nothing.

Been through 4 sets of 020s, and using Bridgestones on the GPX before that.
    Never a problem.

If you're worried about it, scrub the tires with Acetone first. (Breaks down
the slippery stuff.) Maybe use a scourer on the very edges to make sure you
have grip on the very edges.

  12. Something to look into... sitting on a shelf, tyres do deteriorate, and
Bridgestone had discontinued the BT-010 a while ago now-sometime early last
year, if not even earlier. It could be construed that you stacked because
you'd been sold defective goods you didn't ask for, and that would make the
slackarses at Action at least partly responsible for the damage to your
    bike.

As much as I dislike frivolous claims of this nature, on this occasion, it
    might be worth a shot.

This bloke came off after hitting his "breaks" while riding on
"Barstard Geen Tyres". Don't bring me into it!
