personally i would rather see the bike damaged as this confirms what
    actually happened to it
and can see that it was a 0 kay drop , hence getting the quote and pricing
    it accordingly
you then dont have to TRY and get your money back for the repair

there is a difference between drop at 0 kays and crashed

i priced my 916 at the right money for what it was and the phone ran hot all
    week
    crashed , bashed and beaten
as people wanted to save some bucks and were happy to take it as it was
as it made a 916 affordable whereas normally it would have been out of reach
    for most
(but this is a different bike)

then I would prefer to save the money on the deal , later if I decide I can
    get it painted
or sell it on , never know you might find the same panel at a wreckers and
    wont have to get it
painted and worry about the mismatch

as luck would have it , it will fall over again , how many times has it been
    so far BVR ???

    ;)
