What were they thinking of?

Ducati, that is, when they released this monstrosity to the world.

It's gotta be one of the ugliest bikes of all time.

I quite like it.

I'd never buy one, mind.

 

It's the Ducati way since Tamburini left. Multistradas are hideous, the
999's not much better, & that thing... yuck.

 

The 1098/1198 are quite pleasant, certainly after the 999.

But that thing looks like "Versys by Ducati". I'll pass.

On an entirely unrelated note, my KTM works again. What I thought was
mind-bogglingly bad carb icing turned out to be a kinked fuel hose. Doh!

 

Yeah the 1198 is gorgeous, I thought they had caught the 996 spirit again.
As for this Diavel, obviously they are looking to diversify the customer
base and I see a lot of V-Rods in the Europe and USA. It's clearly a far
superior bike to the HD with a great name and it's still a V-Twin. I can
see a lot of them being sold, not in the UK, but so few people here buy new
bikes anyway.

The Multistrada 1200 is also a pretty unfortunate looking beast but some
people still buy those and the Triumph equivalent.

It will sell like hot cakes.

 

I quite like it. I might test ride one when I get the chance to pop over to
the UK.

Then if I like it, I'll wait until 2013 until I buy one.

 

Take all the plastic off and change the pipes and it could look good.

It needs to be bigger as well, the rider dwarfs it.

 

The multistrada makes that look like Claudia Schiffer.
