That sounds more like he bought the previous years model at runout prices.

ie in 2002, they flog off the 2001 model for cheap.

You can save a truckload of money doing that if you want a "new" bike
and the differences between years is minimal eg 2002->2003 f4i are
    virtually identical.

Only problem is when it comes to reselling, you are reselling a 2001
bike. Nobody cares that you bought it in mid 2002.

I wouldnt buy it in the first place :)

in retrospect $9k might be a bit generous.

I reckon $9k is a bit much for brisvegas prices.

Still, theres a sucker born every minute.

    good luck to him.

It's a genuine factory stand - cost threefitty when new.
What would it be worth second hand (perfect nick) ?

Id give him $100 + p/h if interested, depending on what it is.

Anderson make excellent stands and are competitively priced.
Its not worth any more than that

Always better to set the price a bit high.. you can't haggle it upwards later.

I saw an F4i 2001 model, 15,000 kms for sale in that Motorbike version of
the trading post for $10,200. So I guess 9 thou is a bit steep for the ks.
