I am still trying to figure out where the market will be for a 250 V twin.
ICBW but it looks like a fairly heavy machine to me.
Surely the main market for a 250 is for lightweight commuters with a bit
    more power than a 125.

Honda sold the VT250 in the UK in the early '80s IIRC and have been
producing home-market variants ever since - google for Spada, Xelvis, Magna
etc. And then, of course, there's all the Bros/Hawk stuff. Honda has spent
the last 25 years or so churning out light, sporty v-twins.

Yebbut 150 kg is heavy for a lightweight commuter. I would like to see
more 250s in the 120 kg class which makes them a lot more practical
as an everyday commuter ducking and diving in city traffic.

We definitely need to see more decent bikes between 125 and 600 though.

    ukgser.com

useful resource for R-GS owners and a very good travel database

several non-cunts here are regular contributors

the crap tends to be kept in generic sub-fora whilst the technical and
    travel stuff is well managed

The earlier, Japan only, version was relatively popular as a grey import.

I have a female friend who is 4'11" tall. She bought a VTR250 in 1998 and
finds it very suitable for her stature.

It's a niche market but not every shortarse wants to ride a scooter or a
    cruiser.

Cyrus Un-official is pretty good as well. Not in the same league as
UKRM, but if you want to know about Cyrus and HiFi in general it's
    pretty good IME.
