Just sitting back watching "The Gumball Rally".

What is the bike in this movie? The sound they have for it is that of a 2-stroke (not that that means much in movies)

If it's the original Gumball with the 'Mad Hungarian' it's a Kawasaki
KH500 Mach1 I think, or it may have been one of the KH400's

Ahhh yep that's the bike, although in the flick it had a racer-styled bikini fairing.

And yes Jeffles it's the original movie with the mad Hungarian. :)

  7. Yes I watched that too. ('Orrible wasn't it!) It was a KH 400 and it sounded
right, I don't think they changed the sound, ran it as it was.

Don't get me started... every time I watch T2, I marvel at the XR80?

Yep it was, and I loved it. :)
Being a car oriented movie, they definitely used the bike as comedy relief.

The Kwaka triples were always comedy relief particularly the 750, I rode a
750 with a 810 Danko kit chambers and a 900 front end, a real handfull but
    entertaining.

True... I forgot about that! He seems to change gear every 200 metres,
    and never downshifts...

Not to mention the H.P.T. that this thread is entirely
    likely to divert to now...

    GB, it's a myth.

I also watched it, I love that movie, A great laugh, Some of the older
movies are better for it not having the over bloated special effects.

30 years ago two of us used to sell fairings around NZ. The fibreglass
guy had a Kawa 750 with a full fairing like an enlarged TZ with a
headlight hole moulded in, I had a 500 with a bikini, copy of the R90S,
and my job was touring around on these bikes getting orders from
bikeshops. Big fat joint for breakfast and off we go to work, fairly
fast. The S3 was great for wheelies. The A7 Avenger did all right too,
I had one of those with a full fairing, it seemed as quick as the S3.

    Cheers from pig-infested NZ.
