Whats the bleeding point of that?

    Were the Ruskies not fighting the entire population though? It seems to me
    to be a very different war. And for that matter would the Ruskies have lost
    out so badly if we hadn't been arming the other side.

    WTF is arming the ragheads. I've wondered this before.

    Thinking about it though and looking back to WWII it's probably a lost cause
    because we don't commit the appropriate amount of troops. For overwhelming
    success you want 100's of thousands if not a million combat troops. So arm
    the national army to the nines and fro.

    Damn near identical.
    Irrelevant. The only person who ever beat the Afghans was Ghenghis
    Khan. The British retreated from Kabul in 1863 with the loss of
    15,000 troops.
