What's the most hair raising experience you've had on your bike so far ?

    In very simple terms, perhaps...

....that line of reasoning deserves an intro from Ray Martin or the
skinny ho with the lifeless eyes he's up against on Ch.7, that's how
complete an affront to probability studies it is.

Whether or not you got done on any given day you went for a ride doesn't
influence the number of cops you'll cross paths with the next time you
    take the bike out.

"On a long-enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to
zero", said The Narrator in 'Fight Club'.

That statement has_no_relationship *whatsoever* with "You know, you
    could die tomorrow."

So it is with mapping the tickets one accumulates over the course of
one's riding career against a calendar, noting the spread of them on
double-points vs normal points days and using that to infer the relative
wisdom of taking the bike out on a double-points weekend.

fact is when there is double points weekends every car is on the road as
    much as possible

the police are hiding on the side of the road wherever possible is positions
    that are guarenteed
to catch people (where speeds change down)

fact is that i am on the road everyday and when its double points the police
    presence apears
to be a ten fold increase and they appear in all sorts of places that you
    never ever see police normally

not that it would make any difference to your viewpoint

"Statisitically insignificant" is an apt choice of words, as the matter
at hand is not a matter of statistics, but probability.

....snip mucho maths that misses the point

Irrelevant, the risk of both getting the penalty AND the impact of the
penalty increased. So your maths is out as you're assuming you can
simply divide by the number of days. You're ignoring the fact that every
policeman capable of wielding a hairdryer gets stuck in a car over
double points weekends as well as the points going up.

Bottom line, it's perfectly rational to avoid driving on double points
weekends, but I really don't care to try and convince you of anything,
so you drive and risk it all you like, oh that's right you don't live in
the facist state of NSW, our road rules are the best reason to move to
    Brisbane I've heard.

That'd be the same chapter, the reward has to be valuable in
    relationship to the risk.

Heheh no it's what you call the marks left after you fishtail the ute
down the road after the B&S
As little as possible, why ?

that", hence I work in IT)

What, the NSW government? I Don't Think So.

    How about you move?

Gary (yeah, they got $560 out of me. Plus costs.)
