ER... IAM don't use their own vehciles IME - they use yours (and there is a
point to that) - and I can't say I've heard of putting L-plates on - it
    defeats the point.

You certainly don't stick an L-plate on your bike when under IAM
    instruction.

WRONG. What's the difference between MUST and SHOULD?

    Must = legal requirement.

I'm not entirely sure (because I really cannot be arsed to go through all
your posts) but I'm fairly sure you're contradicting yourself.

You are getting "must" and "should" confused.

MUST: (v) "To be obliged or required by morality, law, or custom"
SHOULD: (v) "Used to express probability or expectation"

It doesn't - because you don't do it then either!

My understanding is it's exactly this sort of situation the green "P" thing
is for - you've passed but are not entirely confident on the road therefore
are indicating this to other road users.

This still wouldn't apply to IAM instruction though IWT.

Its all arses with you isn't it. The article refers to "high performance
bikes", not motorcycles in general. There were 133,939 new bikes sold in
2004. It would take a lot of knackered transits to make off with that amount
    of bikes.
