Luckily I wasn't caning it when, in wet and gusty conditions, a great big
feckin' leaf plopped itself perfectly onto my visor. Blind (literally) panic
for a second as I swept it off followed by a heart in the mouth course
correction as I was already heading for the verge.

Can't we just concrete over the countryside?

If you go to www.blogspot.com they will let you set up something to post
these fascinating insights into your life.

Thanks Simes - now can you tell me how to stop the @tiscali.co.uk appearing
in the from column of my posts.

    Yes.

Don't put it in your email address or name part of the set up of the
    posting account.

Keep it for the regular 'The leaves are more slippery this year' thread.

Naah, if not this one, I reckon it'll go to "modern leaves aren't a
patch on the ones we used to get in the old days".

Leaves? You don't know you're born. Pine needles - they are the
fuckers. Punctured all the tyres on my 1938 Chattersley Chubber 350cc
    Super Sport more than once.

I admit that my original post was virtually content free but in my defence
I've just got around to using this cheesy server after Tiscali dropped
newsgroup support a month or so ago. Had to post something to try it out and
that was the best I could do at the time.

And if anything, the leaves are stickier this year.

I had a fucking bee smack me in the eye as I was exiting the roundabout onto
the M65. I ended up in the gravel alonside the on-ramp and had to ride it to
the end coz the bike wasn't hopping back on at the speed I was doing.

Fortunately, the gravel just petered out and I joined the motorway without
    any more keck filling.

So yeah, the cuntryside should be concreted over.
