I need to know - for definite - if the flywheel side crankcase for a PX125
will fit onto a PX200. I was fairly convinced that they both used the same
casting and only the internals were different. I want to be a 100% sure
before I buy one I have seen on EBay.

My scooters case cracked at the kickstart shaft and I tried getting it ally
welded but that only succeeded in warping it so the kickstart now sticks.
Not great when I want to sell it when it is finished.

Thanks Loz. Guess I shall just have to keep searching. You wouldn't happen
to know of anyone with a PX200 bottom end languishing doing nothing?

If only you knew someone who might be able to machine the case so that
    the shaft didn't stick...

Perk! That sounds like an offer. May I keep you in mind WUN? There is
also a slight gearbox leak where the weld has been done and smoothed where
the two faces are not quite square and it would need SLIGHTLY built back up.
Would this be a problem? I didn't mention this as I was just going to get
    another casing.

Nope you cant, stud patterns different im afraid.
Not only that, but if IRC you shouldnt use a different casing on one side as
they are machine matched. If you look at the gasket facing ie where the
cylinder base gasket goes, you'll see 3 numbers, you'll see them again on
the other casing half. If you do decide to use a different casing half you
then should get the casings matched :-(

Yeabutt, if the casings actually warped the gasket faces wont match and
depending how badly warped your going to end up with all sorts of other
    probs surely?

The scoot runs fine apart from the slight oil leak and sticky kickstart.
The weld runs from under the "sticky out bit" (Technical terms "R" us) for
the kickstart shaft to the mating face. The weld has warped the "sticky out
bit" ever so slightly causing the kickstart to stick.

Yep I was told *after* i'd bought a side casing for one o' mine :-(
Flywheel bearings on vespas rattle within 50 miles usually, fuckers. It's
one of those "they all do that, sir" parts.
heh, you wanna see some of the stuff inside current Vietnamese Lambretta
    engines!!
