Where's the UK?

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Paul Carmichael, Aug 20, 2009.

  1. Just watched the weather forecast. The UK has disappeared! There's just a
load of grey/white stuff where it used to be.

    Are you all ok?

It's a bit cloudy here but I've still got the aircon on full blast.
    Appearances can be deceptive.

You've been away so long you've forgotten what a UK summer looks like?!

Anyway, the cricket is just about to start and England are batting.
All that cloud cover means we'll be fielding by tea time :eek:/

It's been like that for weeks in most of the country[1], apart from a
few days here & there. E.g. yesterday there wasn't a cloud in the sky,
but most of the time you can't see any sky for the cloud.
No! Very pissed off with it!

    [1] Apart from the SE.

Why? It's only weather and nothing out of the ordinary for this country.

That's the only bit that matters, well apart from next week when
decent weather in northern sheep shagging lands would be top.

    Because I like sunshine.
It's not ordinary to have solid cloud day after day for weeks on end.
It's been consistently better over your way so may well be an ordinary
    summer where you are.

That's a fairly normal pattern when the jetstream hangs around further
south than it's meant to, which is what's happened this year.

The weather's the only think I miss about living in Kent. Not just the
fact it's generally much warmer & sunnier, but also the fantastic
    thunderstorms.
If the jetstream forecasts are anywhere near accurate, you may be in
    luck.

Somebody should tell it that it's in the wrong place.
