    Formats?

Forget formats. Just write/type what you think. Make it as long or as short as you feel.

  2. Remember to add your political leanings, whether optimax is good for the
running of the bike, whether you should wear helmets in the service
stations and how much extra petrol you'll get in the tank if you sit on
    the bike while filling it.
Also don't forget what riding gear you wore.

    Dale,
I don't remember seeing your test report on the 954.
Of course you have only ridden the VTR 1000 in the drive until
your broken arm heals, but I'd like to hear what you think
of the 954. Could you post a test report before tomorrow.
    James.

Do a search in Google with the following parameters.......

    Group: aus.motorcycles
    Author: Dale Porter
    Subject: "CBR954 Fireblade test ridden"

Should bring up my report from October last year.

    Remember.....Google is your friend. :)

    Hey Frugal,

    I'm not bothered about politics.
    Optimax ain't available here.
Bloody helmets are for girlz, even in servo's.
Extra petrol shouldn't be needed for a short test ride.
When I've paid for the new bike I'll have no cash left for
friggin riding gear, but might need help to decide whether or not
to use synthetic lubricants. Do you have Kay Why lube over there?

  8. Umm, those "two bike pics that Dale has" you mentioned in your original
post??? You know the most powerful one of them (the 'blade) is actually
ridden by Cat? All four foot eleven-ish and fifty odd kg of her???

Gear is so dear over here I'll just have to make do with jeans and a good
merino jersey. (jersey is a garment not a cow) (merino's a sheep) "No
    gear" over
here is considered very macho. Do you guys really wear gear?

In which case, on the specs above, don't buy the 954, it's not a pillion
bike unless she's 5'0, 45Kg and very flexible. The VTR would be
appropriate, as would a VFR as would an ST1100/STX.

    Insufficient parameters.

On what you've given us, buy the VTR.

I hope you're not seriously asking that question.

Of course we wear protective gear! "Macho" is for idiots (IMHO).

"No Gear" is a brand of gear and MACHO is a more expensive brand.
We have idiots over here, but they are not kiwis (IMHO) *smile*

Lighten up Dale I was only joking.

What, you ride a bike and think macho is for idiots?

lots and lots of people who buy bullbar equipped 4WDs consider you
    stupidly macho. Well.. stupid anyway.

You've decided on a mode of transport where the crash rate is the same
as cars, the injury rate massively higher. Including injuries through
    all the fancy kit.

To think it's about macho is... well.. stupid. It's about getting
different answers to the same question, just as you got a different
answer to 'what vehicle do I want to use" than the average urban cowboy
4WDer did. Or the average cyclist come to that...

Wear what makes you feel OK, don't think that other people can't make
the same decision. Or never ride a bike again, cos obviously those 4WD
owners are better at decision making than you are and you don't want to
    be stupidly macho do you?

I just showed her that pic and now I've got the instructions
to get a BMW or else...it does look a bit like a VTR though, ya reckon
she'd notice if I got the Honda.
