I'm not demanding, I'm requesting. It's no crime to request. I have
every right to request. And I have good reasons for those requests,
Geroge. Methinks thou protesteth too much.
    You're talking shit again.
Is it a crime for a veteran who disagrees with our participation in
certain wars to visit an RSL club or to have firends who are
    ex-servicepersons, George?
    Absolutely right, George.

But if you want me to believe you served with the AATTV in Vietnam,
I'll want to see some proof, because quite frankly, George, the shit
you have spoken about your supposed time in Vietnam would never have
been said by anyone who _really_ was over there with the AATTV. Add
to that the fact that not one person in this newsgroup is willing to
vouch for your bona fides, and I have no reason to suspend my serious
suspicions that you are nothing but a rat imposter.
You would not be the first imposter I have exposed, George. I don't
like imposters. And as far as I'm concerned, you're an imposter.

At what point does a request turn into harassment.

How many times must you be told that he does not give a toss what you
(or anyone else) believe before you will get the message.
Personally I feel this makes him the better man.

Let's do the math, we have one guy who has and shares (a vast) knowledge
about things motorcycle related in a motorcycle newsgroup, and we have
you crying about shit stains on a GV650.
All this talk about love over war but have a look at yourself, and how
    you communicate!
Why not try a month of positivity or at least a month of no negative
posts... guessing it comes back to your lack of self control again...
scary when you consider your repeated display of refusing to accept the
    word no.

dftl = Don't forget the love.

Seriously, try it. It could change your life!

Dunno, Peter. But when you find the answer, please share it with us.
I understand that he does not geve a toss. I also understand that you
don't give a toss whether or not he is impersonating a member of the
AATTTV. I find that equally interesting.
I wouldn't be at all surprised.
Only Yanks say "math". You're a Yank, are you?
I don't go on about "love over war". I'm opposed to wars based on
dodgy reasons and lies. there's a big difference beween a war of words
and a plane load of cluster bombs, fuckwit.

    "Sticks and stones" ????
"Positivity" is a much over-rated thing. It's often used as a subtle
tool to silence dissent or criticism. You don't have to be a genious
to work out that it's used by those who hate being disagreed-with or
    criticised. i.e. authoriarians.

  4. You ought to know Gerry, you have been into the harrassment game since you
    first turned up
So I guess it would be your first posting on any group.

Probably because you are the only one who believes that Gerry.

Nothing would surprise you gerry, would it ?

The schools and kids at school have been saying "math" for years Gerry,

You oppose wars or should I say, you oppose Governments because you don't
    agree with their policies
Go across and take a visit to see Prince Leonard, Gerry
    Get fucked Gerry

Cut and pasted from your reply previous Gerry.
Well Gerry, here you name yourself as a vindictive person who chases someone
to all ends to "expose them" as you say
How many have you allegedly "exposed" Gerry
How many of these "imposter" chases have turned out to be genuine and you
have finished up wrong as usual Gerry ?
Also, "as far as you are concerned"
Who the **** cares what your concerns or your thoughts are ?

As far as I am concerned Gerry, you are a make believe hero who couldn't
make it in real life, so you take on Diogenes of Sinope's persona
but in reality, you suffer from Diogenes Syndrome
( look it up Gerry )
In fact, if everyone looked up Diogenes Syndrome, then they will understand
a little bit more of your little mind

For 12 months or more, the Toxic Troll, as he is now known in the
flight sim group, hid behind the tag of Walter Mitty, and reveled in
the thought that no one knew his true ID. But the idiot left a trail
on the Internet and was eventually exposed. He went absolutely
ballistic and accused a perfectly innocent member of being a traitor,
just because, at the time, he suspected him.

Yet on this NG he uses his real name. The man is weird, and has mental
    problems.
As already mentioned, he uses Walter Mitty as his tag in the FS group.

............"Walter Mitty was a meek, unassuming accountant who would
daydream that he led an exciting, heroic life in order to escape his
    humdrum existence.

The fictional character appeared in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
(1941), written by the American humorist and artist James Thurber
    (1894-1961).

The story was popularised in 1947 when Danny Kaye took on the role in
the Hollywood film of the same name, also starring Boris Karloff and
Viriginia Mayo. Steven Spielberg is expected to remake the film with
    Jim Carrey next year.

In Thurber's 2000-word story, which takes place over a single day, we
first meet the henpecked Mr Mitty as he is driving his wife to town
for a shopping trip, while dreaming that he is a Navy pilot flying
through the worst storms in 20 years.

The mundane events of the day are punctuated by a series of daydreams
in which Mitty also fantasises that he is a famous surgeon, notorious
murderer on trial for his life and a wartime general.

In the final daydream, he faces a firing squad alone without a
    blindfold, enigmatically smoking a cigarette.

The character has become a subject of fascination since the story's
publication, even prompting an article in a British medical journal
suggesting "Walter Mitty Syndrome" might be a clinical condition that
    manifested itself in compulsive fantasising.........."

Yeah! The idiot has got "Walter Mitty Syndrome" big time, as well as
    "Diogenes Syndrome".

    OH, I see...

OK, now here's why I think you're a liar and an imposter, George:

    Quotes by you:

    9 April 2007:
"I was there if you want to look it up in your funken wagnell
from march 1962 through to 1963."

    26 Apr 2007:
"..the septics way was to come in with lots of
noise and maybe scare the opposition away with their boom-boxes on
theirshoulders, as I saw on many an occasion."

15 May 2007 (in reply to when in youwere in SVN):
"March 1962, a part of "team of advisors" sent to assist the South in
roads, bridges etc. I was much better at building bridges than blowing
    them up...?"

Elsewhere, you mentioned that you were quite young at the time.
(20y.o.?) but I can't be bothered to chase hat one up.

And then of course there was your famous (erroneous) assertion that
    the Viet Cong wore sarongs.

So, to sum up, "George": There you were in March 1962, part of a team
of Australian Army advisers, a young pup (a private? a corporal?),
giving the South Vietnamese vital clues about how to build better
bridges, perving on the Yank soldiers mincing through the jungle with
boom boxes on their shoulders, trying not to tear their tutus.

    What a load of Cobblers!!!

As Zebee pointed out at the time, boom boxes were not around back
then. (But they DID feature in some Hollywood movies about the Vietnam
    war, probably set in 1970+.)

The only Australian Army advisers we had in Vietnam in 1962 did not
arrive there till August 1962. By this time "Frost of the AATTV"
claims to have already been there for five months.

    Bollocks!!!

The AATTV was, in 1962/63, comprised entirely of officers and warrant
    officers .

Given that you were quite young at the time, you must have been their
    youngest star.

    Bollocks !!!

    ==================

In Paul Ham's book "Vietnam, The Australian War", he provides these
    facts about the AATTV.

Feb 1962: Colonel Ted Serong, an Australian adviser on
counter-revolutionary warfare to the Burmese military, is approached
by the CIA to assist them in Vietnam.

Serong's ego explodes and he contacts the CGS (Pollard).

Pollard instructs ASIS to second Serong to the CIA's Saigon station.

May 1962: Secretary of State Dean Rusk, visiting Asutrlaia, asks
    Australia to send advisers.

6 Jun 1962: Ted Serong's first (solo) visit to Vietnam (CIA Saigon).

He subsequenty hand-picked the first 36 members of the AATTV.

29 July 1962: 36 Officers and Warrant Offcers farewelled at ECPD
    Watson's Bay.

    ==================

So, George, the only Serong (sp?) in Vietnam in 1962 was a Colonel
(later Brigadier) called Ted. And the person here in Ozmoto using the
alias George W Frost was, almost certainly, not in Vietnam in 1962/63.

Either you are a liar and an imposter George, or everyone who's
written about the AATTV is involved in a conspiracy to make you look
like a liar and an imposter.

So, George, once again I cordially invite you take me up on my offer
to meet you in Melbum for a beer and to sight your Vietnam vet
credentials. I'll bring mine too and we can play "I'll show you mine
    if you show me yours."

Waddya say, George... then we can finally put
    it to rest, eh.

GWF, I think this is a good offer - free beer and a return of
credibility. How can you go wrong?

I know Gerry well enough to believe he would honour reasonable
pre-conditions, eg not revealing specific details about real name and
    where you live, etc.
He might reveal other lies (if that's what they are) about Vietnam,
but if you have been telling the truth all along, how can you go
    wrong?

Mate, he _can't_afford_ to take me up on it if he's a liar. fraud, and
imposter. So my money is on him permanently staying anonymous and
never letting anyone find out what his real name is.

However... If I were to be proven wrong and he turns out to be the
real thing, I'd publicly apologise, I'd acknowledge his genuine
service, and I'd honour his anonimity.

But if he's a fraud and I ever find out his real name, I'll dob him in
to the RSL, the AATTV Association, and the media can have what's left.

Has anyone here ever actually met this guy?

  12. Is this an edited extract Gerry as you seem to be expert in editing, cut and
    pasting
If I recall correctly, I would have said March 1962 to May 1962, can't
    recall mentioning 1963 at all
I was well and truly home to celebrate Independence Day

Don't rightly recall that I said "I saw" the boom-boxes, as the yanks didn't
come on strong till long after I was gone

Yes, that's right, much better at building than destroying
I recall that I also may have said we were teaching the South Vietnmese, to
    drive trucks as well.
    Yep, that's almost right, around 20 y.o.
You don't have to worry yourself in chasing that any further
How old were you when you allegedly went there Gerry ?
I am sure that I would have said the North Vietnamese wore sarongs
    or so you magnamously proclaimed,
"THEY NEVER WORE SARONGS, YOU ARE WRONG GEORGE !!"

As I said, what you call rock melons, I call canteloupes
you call it a portmaneau, or port
    I call it a suitcase
I say tomato, you say tomarto.
    different schooling when growing up.

    A sapper actually Gerry.

The yanks I did see there were in no hurry to hide their existance, either
walking through the scrub, or in the main street, not the ideal way of
fighting a guerilla warfare, which you should know, Vietnam was.

Already left by the time they got there Gerry
Read my comment below regarding the AATTV Gerry

That may have been with the AATTV, but not me Gerry
and where did I ever say I was with the AATTV ??
you surmised that because you know **** all about what went on before your
    alleged involvement

So, you can read and cut and paste Gerry, so what, big deal !!

Geez Gerry, I can remember not so long ago, when you got all up in arms and
uptight when Nev said that a person who you are claiming to be, was actually
killed in action as he stated was written in a book or web page.
You called Nev all the names your little mind could muster, be3cause he had
read something you didn't agree with.
you believe everything you read in books Gerry ?
I'll bet you even thought the Phantom was real.

I see you are still adept at cut and paste Gerry

The event to which you refer must have taken place before my time, so
it must have been a long time ago. I have come to know Gerry as an

happened in the past is the business of those involved, and certainly
    none of mine.

  15. Precisely George,
it happened in the past, almost 50 years ago and it is done dusted and
almost forgotten, not desireable to bring it all up again over a beer,

    Oh, the irony!
I'm puzzled why you, or anyone else in a motorcycle discussion group
would care about the details of someone else's military service. Who
gives a fvck if he was or wasn't somewhere he claims to be. It's bad
enough that Gerry goes on and on about it endlessly, but other people
being recruited into his cheersquad does nothing to benefit this group.
You are allowed to be his mate without needing to cheer him on
(although from his recent history, if you don't support everything he
says he'll turn on you just as quickly as he did to others who tried to
tell him to behave like a human, so I'm actually not surprised that
you're playing his wingman role enthusiastically).

    Nev..

    Nev.., Sep 17, 2011

  18. Nev confronted Gerry with some information he had read from the internet or
a book, which stated that the name Gerry is using, was the name of a soldier
who happened to have been killed in action in Vietnam in 1969,about the time
when Gerry said he was there.
Gerry huffed and puffed and accused Nev of being a liar,
but, Nev was only referring to text which is available to everyone
The next thing about that was a couple of weeks or so later, when Gerry came
back and said that he had contacted the writer of the article and it had
    been amended

Don't think that Nev is a friend of mine either George, he hates my guts as
much as the next man, but occasionally, he does speak the truth
But I reject Gerry's demand because of what I just said George
almost 50 years ago and things in the past are in my opinion, best to be
    left in the past.
There may be some good memories, but these are usually shared with the
    people it happened with,
there may be a lot of bad memories that you wouldn't want to share with
    anyone

An example would be, although not straying from your question.
How old were you when you first played stink-finger?
Who was the first girl you fucked
how old was she, was she over or under 16 ?
If she was under 16, does her father know?

Those questions may seem far from what you were talking about George, but it
    is in the same light,
what happened in the past, stays with the people concerned and if you are
    not together anymore
it stays in the past, no matter how delightful, frustrating or painful it
    was.
Gerry does not have the right to demand I show him my credentials
And he did demand, he did not request as he tried to put it.
That part of my life was over almost 50 years ago.
I have had many jobs over the years and I do not go back to see any of those
employers or fellow workers from that era..
Same with the Army, I worked with them, not against them as Gerry is
    attempting to do now
Gerry may have had a bad time and is now trying to lay the blame for his
inadequacies on the yanks by saying that war is bad.
Why join up if you think war is bad?
Is the Army a kindergarten or public relations office?
No. they are a war machine, no matter which country you pick
always have been and always will be.
Wars have been going on since time began and will continue till this earth
    is blown up
I finished my employment with them and moved on to something else.
What was your first job George, or your second or third?
Do you still keep in touch with the ones you worked with?
    Bet you don't
    Neither do I.
