Which personal MP3 player?

  1. Which means you've got to have the right CD-R in the player, or at
least in arm's reach, whenever you fancy listening to a particular
    something.

I've got 30GB of music, comedy, radio shows, Reith Lectures, on my
iPod. Whenever I fancy something, it takes seconds to start it
    playing.

  2. You might be thinking of the K-JAM. The JAMin is considerably
    smaller.

I'll take a look - thing is, they're threatening me with a Blackberry,
so I wouldn't really want a PDA as well.

  4. JAMin can handle push technology, so if you get a JAMin, you might be
able to use it to fight off the Blackberry.

Kind of my point. I pretty much stick to volume up and down from the
steering wheel controls. Maybe track skip or staation change for another
    preset. Again from the wheel.

I built in in car MP3 player a few years back. Eventually stopped working
on it because IMHO it was just insane trying to hunt through that many
    songs while on the move.
As do I. Don't change them on the move though.

No need to when there's a stack of 'em in the boot.

Also, Blackberries are shit as a PDA. Sure, the push mail over GPRS and the
Outlook sync are very slick, but the basic PDA features aren't a patch on
    Symbian, Pocket Windows, Palm...

And I could sync up a JAMin with our Exchange servers without any
technical assistance from the server team?

    I think not. /Nothing/ happens here technology-wise that isn't
sanctioned by Engineering, Security, IT COM, ITEC, the CAB, Enterprise
Frameworks, Architecture etc. etc. etc. et fucking cetera.

  12. Dunno. I use a POP3 account.
    It'll be worth it.

  13. If it's running Windows Mobile and you can install ActiveSync on your
    PC - sure.

Activesync handles the sync stuff. With full Click 'n Drool support.
