I have been reading through the posts here and there seems to be a divide in
those who do and those who don't like the ignorant self centred piece of
shit that is bear. I for one hate the ****. Who's with me?

well I've never met the guy so I can't comment, his persona on here is
very strange, up and down and slightly psychotic but in real life I'm
told he's a nice little teddy bear type and is OK.

But seeing as I have yet to meet the **** I'm not going to judge him.

  10. given me a hard time occasionally but that's the beauty of this group (no
    doubt I deserved it )

seems to have a reasonable knowledge of all things two wheeled

can be a sanctimonious pompous twat sometimes , then aint we all at sometime
    or another

never met the guy face to face so i wouldn't really wish to judge him as a
person on what I see in the newsgroup

We work similar hours so that tends to be the case. You're one of the sad
no-life assholes who spends all day here I gather.

or do you share a PC along with a brain cell?

Stop it, my sides are splitting. You're Ken Dodd right?

Well, okay, I do have access to UKRM during the day, but generally I'm

I've never met George Bush, but he's a ****. Tony as well come to that.
What is it with this RL obsession? I mean, if the only communication
medium is a keyboard, then you judge, and are judged, by that medium.

This might be Pfungstaedter talking here mind you.

    In
I quite like the ursine one.

Never met him, but his posts amuse me sometimes, make me think occasionally,
and when he had the flounce for a few months I thought UKRM was a less
    interesting place for a while.

He's in my top five "Must read" UKRM posters.

Then again, I'm not a biker either :)

You obviously didn't read hard enough as if you had you would have

    really don't give a ****

    Very few I suspect.

  20. Ah, right.

Well, many reports say he's a half-decent rider. Others - fewer - say he
ain't as good as he thinks he is. Having never seen him on the road, I
can't comment, but am happy to assume the majority verdict is correct.

By his own admission he's a mechanical numpty. One of his earliest posts
here was asking how to set the chain tension correctly, when the manual
said it had to be set with a rider on board and he was trying to dfo it
on his tod. It was pointed out that if it was set once, with someone
sitting on the bike, all that had to be done was to get them off,
measure the tension with the bike unladen, and set the chain to that
    tension thereafter.

On technical and engineering stuff, um, not the greatest. Mark Olson is
yer man here. And Krusty on rmt is pretty damn fine, actually.

On model history and development, weak.

He seems to follow the racing scene closely. The rest of his stuff is
mostly gleaned and quoted from magazines, not that that's a bad way of
    learning, mark you.

It's an interesting point, actually. I don't think anyone on ukrm has a
really good all-round knowledge. I mean, I know where my own strengths
are, and my weaknesses (chiefly racing, about which I'm not really
    interested and know f-all).

I'd rely on JP for legislation, Lozzo for obscure detailing, Champ and
quite possibly Bear for racing, Olson for technical stuff, myself for a
lot of historical and value stuff, Hog for interesting maintenance and
    service stuff......

On specialist subjects: Lozzo for two-strokes, sweller for MZs, Hog for
BMWs (Timo for older BMWs, probably.....)

I'm trying to think who I'd ask for electrical stuff. Olson, probably.

The more I think about this, the more I get into it. Anyone like to
volunteer an area of genuine expertise?
