    That's the slowest-looking 180mph I've ever seen. I reckon he's
flicked it to kph, you know.

That looks like it's on A413 starting at Denham heading towards Aylesbury.
There's a 2-3 mile section of dual carriageway that's usually totally empty.

Check the corner speeds, he's got the bike over pretty hard for the
indicated speed to be in kph. I think it's genuine but I'm biased.

Kiran () gurgled happily, sounding much like they were
    saying :
Definitely - the bit past Chalfont St Peter.

I'd lean towards KPH, too - unless some of the cars are doing 90-100mph,
    too...

That dear old chap, Dan tugged on his pipefull of old shag and said:
4 seconds to go from 15mph to 100mph... I think it's kph too.

That was my first thought, too.

I'm pretty similar up there on the Wing.

Well 0-100mph should probably be less than 6 seconds so allowing for
timing error that's about right. You'd certainly hope that the
10-60mph time would be less than 4 seconds...

That dear old chap, Lozzo tugged on his pipefull of old shag and said:
It doesn't sound like he's right on the powerband though and even
though the bike might (and only might) be capable of that acceleration
with a good lightweight rider it doesn't look right on the film.

The speed of the lamposts passing etc as he slows near the beginning
also looks wrong for the alleged speed.

I agree with this - but I reckon it's pretty near the limit - i.e.
you'd be thraping it to acheive that.
    I agree with that too.

But, but, but it just didn't look right on the video. And the rate of
acceleration above 140 was brisker than I'd expect

But then, despite you regularly offering, I've not yet ridden a 10R. The
fastest bike I've ridden was Daz's race bike and that didn't have a
    speedo [1]

The 10R isn't that loud when it's being given loads and has a standard
can on it. I'm sure it's capable of that rate of acceleration though,
I've ripped mine full open a number of times and it still makes me
grin like a loon when I see the numbers rapidly climbing.
I'll not pop down there to see if it's possible because by now the
local plod will be having a seizure about it all.

The scenery does seem to reel in surprisingly gently (anyone happen to
know the lampost spacing on that road though), but I suspect that could
be because of the field of vision of a camera lens rather than eyes. Are
other videos of such antics done with systems using the same focal
length and width of shot (I am sure these are not the correct terms but
    you get my drift)?

Otherwise I agree with Andy and Champ that the 'slow speeds' indicated
    confirm that it is genuine.
