See that's were your cognative disconnect is! It's
those worthless 2 stroke Yamaha's that "blow,
smoke, oil and up" A REAL MAN race 2 stroke
Suzuki's. Well in vintage stock that is...

History does not record anywhere at any time a
religion that has any rational basis. Religion is
a crutch for people not strong enough to stand up
to the unknown without help. But, like dandruff,
most people do have a religion and spend time and
money on it and seem to derive considerable
    pleasure from fiddling with it.

Actually, it's been patiently explained that Harleys might well be considered
the best in RMH, but they can also be considered the best in
rec.motorcycles.racing (What, there are no flat track enthusiasts in rmr? Jay
Springsteen and Scotty Parker aren't considered the bast at what they do?) and
obviously, in reeky, where Harleys are almost ALWAYS the best at igniting brand
    preference flamewars.

    Sheesh. Off-topic. NOT!

I'd love to go riding with you, Thomas. You seem like my kinda guy. Are you by
any chance in the mid-Atlantic area?

Nah. As long as it's on-opic for all three newsgroups, there's absolutely
nothing wrong with crossposting. In fact, it's the most efficient way to
disseminate information to (in this case) all three groups.

But remember Keith, as to the loud pipes thing, There are a whole lot
of cotch rocket type bikes out there with cans so loud they make your
ears bleed. The loud pipes chrome thing goes to both sides of the
fence. Though with the CR's it tends to be something like carbon fibre.

What I agree with you, and many others here, about is that everyone
should ride their own ride for their own reasons. What those reasons
are should not matter to anybody else at all. "You donta likea my bike,
You justa go to da hella" Peace Be Keith.

According to RCN's AUP, he isn't abusing the service, so you are SOL.
According to most ISPs AUP, there is no abuse going on. Do please try
    to keep up.

  10. It's called "WHINNING to WIN" a practice some
racers employ when the bike and their skill just
    wont cut it.

Yes, please forward my polite posts disagreeing with your contention about what
is topical in RMR to RCN Corp in New Jersey, to get me to stop posting.

I've had this account for about nine years or so, "T3" ("",
"Don'"), posting under my real name, using my real address,
to various motorcycle newsgroups about things of varying interest to varying
people, and I sincerely wish you the best of luck in carrying out your hollow
    little anonymous threat.

Meanwhile, to get back to a topic that is of interest to all three newsgroups,
(unlike T3's whining, which is off-topic in all three) did anyone else read the
article in the March, 2005 issue of Cycle World where Steve Anderson discussed
the latest version of the Buell XB12R Formula Xtreme bike? With the Formula
Xtreme race at Daytona this year being the 200 mile event, and with the
Superbike event shortened, we may see a Harley-Davidson powered racebike win the
Daytona 200. Maybe then (to get back on subject) there will be yet ANOTHER
reason for Harleys to be considered the best!

(T3, feel free to use this post as an example in your complaint to
    !)

Meanwhile, is anyone else in RMH or RMR planning to ride their Harley to the
USGP at Laguna Seca this July? I'm riding my Road Glide from Herndon, Virginia,
to Santa Cruz during the week of July 1 through July 7th, taking a southerly
route through Wetumpka, Alabama and Irving, Texas. Let's join up and ride a
    ways together!

How about you, T3? You going to the USGP?

  13. That was POINTEDLY at both sides of the "Mine is
Better" crowd. As you well know I'm STOCK with
just the amount of chrome sensei Honda said I need
and a set of pipes that are "Stock Honda Loud".

    T3: Please stop crossposting your non-Harley, non-racing, non-motorcycling
    whines to rec.motorcycles, rec.motorcycles.harley, and rec.motorcycles.racing.

If you do not cease and desist, I shall be forced to report you to the one and
    true God.

    Killfile? Filters?

I thought my contributions regarding Randy, the 1200 Sportster racer in CCS
Mid-Atlantic, my comments about flat-track racing, and my observations on
Buell's Formula Xtreme racebike were all more on-topic, relevent, and less
boring than a bunch of whines about cross posting, off topicism, and abuse
    reporting.

But, that's just one crossposter's opinion.... Other crossposters may disagree!

Of course... The old "You don't like this piece of shit because you can't
    afford it!" argument...

I assure you, the price (versus actual value) of Hardly Abelson has very
little do do with my decision to NOT own one...

  18. Thanks for the invitation ... but I dont ride the street anymore. The
law where I live (denmark) has it that if you go more than 160 km/h on
the highway you lose your license. That sort of put me off. Now I only
ride on trackdays - which is a lot more fun anyway! ... (if youre not
    on a harley that is).
