Why is it that no matter how well the builders sweep up after a job
the only way to find the last discarded nail is with a new back tyre?

Anyone had experience of using Ultraseal or Ride On tyre sealant? Is
it any good, various claims are made including better tyre life
    through better heat distribution...

    *waves*

Used it in my Speed Triple when I got a lump of steel in an 800 mile old
    tyre.

Did exactly what it said on the tin, although the local bike shop [1]
were not hugely plussed at changing time.

[1] Blatant plug: HPS in Harlow. Great bunch. No commercial affiliation
    etc etc.

I believe Ultraseal is water soluble so should only take a second to
wash out though? I also understand you can actually transfer it from
your old tyre to new (and as it's not cheap and especially if you were
away from a replacement supply on a trip / whatever)?

Dunno about all that Owen, but I've used Ultraseal (*after* getting the
puncture of coure) and I never had another flat in the same set of tyres.

Well I was just curios about others experience of said product... I
pulled a nail out of the GSs rear tyre (ultrasealed) and was really
    impressed...

A few years ago I went to Rivvie barn with Christofire and there was an
Ultraseal Van doing on site fillings. I enquired about cost etc and the ****
said "We only do Harley's" I told him to **** off and do some then, but
another van appeared another time and I spoke to the bloke about my previous
experience with the Ultraseal **** and he did my tyres right there and for
free. He said he knew the "We only do Harley's" **** and even *he* said he
    was a ****.

If you got a puncture on a shit handling Harley you'd never know
    anyway, so what's the point?
