That a bike you've always wanted, comes along, at the right price, in
the right kind of condition, a week after you've been put under notice
    of redundancy?

Just seen a CBX750 Bol D'Or on Biketrader.

    Bugger.

It's horrid. There's often an upside to bad news.
There's always that. www.cruisingforsex.com will list the places for trade.
You might be surprised how many there are withing a few miles. It wasn't
    named Castell Coch for nothing.

Can't say too much, as I'm not yet under notice of dismissal.

But I can say that '2 World Wars, 1 World Cup' now has a further
    addition.
    I like them.

    But I'm odd.
    You silly ****.

Her demeanour suggests that she does that on a permanent basis.

The reason it was a ppropriate is because:
    a) It's a castle
    b) he's a cock

Christ, I'd forgotten just how fucking hideous they were. Take one ugly
motorcycle with a crap engine and fit a disgusting fairing on it, and
then to add insult to injury they paint it in those god-awful colours.

    Yuk.

Yes, and that's the weakness. They eventually destroy the alternator
chain - it gets rattly and loose, meaning you have to split the cases to
    replace it.
I've had the half-faired one, and would have another - it's just that
the Bol D'Or is very rare and different, so I want one a bit more than I
    do the half-faired version.

I missed this. Having spent the last 3 months or so in a similar

you've got my sympathies for all they're worth.

    Thanks.

It's the 2nd time in a year now - last time there was a 50/50 chance of
retaining your job, this time there's a 0% chance.

  15. They had one redeeming feature for which I will forgive them all other
    sins - hydraulic cam fallowers.

I was relatively 'lucky' by sounds of it - one phone call advising me my
services were no longer required whilst on holiday, and that was it - none
of this mulling it over for a period of weeks / months.

And I'm pleased to report that the IT jobs market is about as buoyant as the
Titanic right now, or at least that's how it seems down here in Kent.

    Time to diversify methinks.

The old man recently decided that the Divvie 900 is a bit cumbersome to haul
out the garage just for a trip down the shops, and the Superdream 250 isn't
quite powerful enough for him, so spent hours scanning eBay and the like for
    a Superdream 400... and bought a VF500F2 instead.

I hope this isn't a bad thing - looks nice enough in the pictures.

But you are going for the commute? did you decide to stay a couple of night
in Lunnon during the weeks? YKIMS, even if only for the pert little City
Girl you will be shagging on the side.

Oh, I'm not exiting yet. I'm really not sure if I can cope with *gulp*
spending my *OWN* money on hotels. Planning to spend three days a week
    in London and two elsewhere.

Not sure if I will end up staying over though; am I man enough to handle
a 200 mile roundtrip to work on a bike three days a week? Or stupid
enough... hang that, I know the answer to the latter but I'm not sure
    about the former.
