Will Hacker apologize?

So the biggest Prima Donna in the AMA paddock gets suspended for
mouthing off and DMG is flexing its muscle and showing who's boss. I
guess this wasn't unexpected since they run NASCAR as a tight lipped
    ship as well.

I'd like to hear what Hacking said. (who wouldn't?) I have no doubt
that he ran off his mouth about the Buell and DMG but it was probably
DiSalvo whom he directed the spew of obsenities at. Just look at the
transcript of the post-race interview. Although I respect him as a
rider since he learned to stop crashing some years ago, I've always
disliked his attitude when he thinks everyone should just pull over
and let him by because his rightful place is at the front.

That said, I've never liked the notion that professional athletes are
prohibited from expressing their opinions. I think a permanent
suspension is an extreme penalty. The idea that he *might* be
reinstated if he makes an "acceptable" public apology to AMA Pro Road
Racing strikes me as extremely arrogant on their part. Just collect
the fine, put him on double secret probation with a strong warning
against future outbursts, and move on. I hope he tells them to stuff
    it.

Then there's the state of the Premier class in AMA Pro... DAYTONA
Sportbike. Without Jamie, what do we have? A three or four way
battle between the likes of Eslick, Herrin, DiSalvo, and Zemke.
Eslick has shown some solid talent over the past couple years but
seems to be benefitting from the rules even though no other Buell
rider is. The only rider in the class I even like is Zemke. Funny
that the Honda in closer-to-stock trim doesn't seem so competitive
contrasted with the utter domination of WSS and FX this decade. I'm
ambivalent about Herrin and DiSalvo. I'd like Eslick more if he was
racing straight-up. I don't like Hacking. The rest are mostly
    unknowns. Not too exciting.

DiSalvo is way more of a prick. always this prima donna attitude but
    never the results to match.
seen the transcript, watched the video, didn't seem like a big deal,
mostly just Jason getting all wound up over nothing,
the obscenities must have come later, and more than likely some kind
of dig/complaint about the f'd up class and that is why DMG nuked him
unfortunately he can't really afford to do that
yep, Jamie and Jake are my favs, Herrins not bad, can't stand the little
    "T" DiSalvo

I'll definitely second that. Hacking has always been very approachable
    in the paddock as well.
I have no doubt DMG went after him because his underlying issue is
weith having to race the 1125 on his 600, and that he thinks DMG's
prized baby, SDSB, is a farce. The DiSalvo interaction only gave them
an excuse. It's another signal to everyone, they will be nuked if they
rock the boat. Hell, the Jamie-Jason pissing match is likely exactly
what DMG wants, it creates interest and maybe sells tickets.
Yeah, we won't be seeing him on the track again if he does. The one
thing I would like to see later this year is Mladin chinch the
championship, give DMG a rash of shit, have them suspend him, and him
flip them off, tell them where to stick it, and ride off into the
    sunset...
It's not much different than FX or SSport, but also less than the two
combined, it seems. And as long as Eslick is winning or doing well the
issue will always be the Buell, because of the massive displacement
edge and the relatively minor weight penalty, 20 pounds - the class
minimums are 365 for fours and 385 for twins (and 375 for triples,
meaning the 675!), which compares to the old DSB HP/weight ratios at
140/420 max and 120/360 min. So if the can strip one of those babies
down anywhere near the min they're much better off - I gotta believe
they can get at least 140 horses out of them.

I'm surprised the Aprilia RSV isn't doing better. I can only assume it's
in virtually stock tune because they haven't homologated the tuning bits
    with the contingency plan.
