Ditto, though it took me about 10 minutes, not 30 years.

Heh. Bacon and eggs, or porridge. It doesn't make one radioactive.

If Champ finds the winters chilly on the body core I don't know why he
hasn't tried a Gerbing or similar heated jacket liner. One connector isn't
a faff and it transforms the entire winter biking experience. I have the
male connector between the seat and tank and it only takes a moment. I
admit the gloves are more hassle if you use them.

You wear a textile winter jacket anyway, All I did was find one that had
removable insulation and replace it with

I thought about the Gillet but really what's the point, the heated arms are
pumping even more heat and comfort into your system.

The Elephant trip (out) was a breeze wearing this kit and I wouldn't have
been able to ride back suffering the effects of a shattered leg if it hadn't
been keeping my core temp right up.

It's one of those little mental leaps that one makes. I spent years looking
at them and discarding the idea and sudfdenly I was thinking WTF didn't I
    get this years before.

Just had a phone call from the insurance company asking me what the
mileage on the bike was. I'm taking a guess that over 40k is going to
    make it uneconomical to repair.

Having white van man take it out wasn't the way I wanted to deal with
    the situation.
