    hot water + salt = more quickly dissolved (and easily rinsed) salt.

    I mean, just how long is the water gonna stay hot?

    Long enough to significantly increase corrosion?

    I doubt it.

    Mined ewe, cold water is cheaper.

    Cold is quicker. Park the bike up, run inside, fill a samll tub from
    the cold tap and go and chuck it on the bike. Heat of the exhaust and
    engine make the remnants evaporate anyway.

    Hog Guest

    BMW clear spray wax from any BMW motorcycle dealer. Never found anything
    better. Come summer some gunk and a pot brush has it off.
