No, it's not my guts, but the Kwaka again ...

After trying non-synthetic oil, checking clutch line fluid, it looks
like the thrust springs are next. Of course Kwaka have some of the
little ones in, but the big bugger, which does all the work has to come
from Japan, so it will be (all together now) four weeks delivery!

    Mutter ...

    Bummer !!!!
Tried John Stamnas in Qld for some aftermarket stuff?
he helped me out big time with the Peg some time ago, finished up with a
    Kwaka clutch, plates and springs.

    BTW: when's the Wintersun?

    cheers

  5. Try a Mean Streak spring and/or interstate dealers/importers. A couple of
thrust washers or an extra plate in the clutch basket should do it too.
Failing that, get the slack pricks to to air freight it!

Would you believe that they refuse to airfreight - even if we pay the
extra! Had all this hassle when we did the rebuild last year - about two
days work stretched to three months!

    Mean streak eh? hmm ...

Yeah, I've bumped into that plenty of times. Might be quicker to
order from overseas if you can find an appropriate Kwakasaki dealer.
Any of our foreign correspondents got any ideas?

  10. Sounds like more a case of Just In Time manufacturing. Just in time to piss
    all their customers off!
So I've heard. Apparently the tabs are longer so they don't get worn/grooved
as quick. A mate said to peg out to the US based owners forum or something.
Quick google... http://www.vroc.org/ looks like the one.

Well I'm definitely piking on Wintersun this year.

Oh well, it's probably time I gave someone else a chance to win the
    250cc trophy. ;-)

Know the site, found the posts and have emailed Judge about the washers
for mounting it. Could take as long to arrange as the Kwaka bits, but
we'll see! Certainly sounds like a better option.
