Anyone planning to attend? I'm wanting to do the trip by CT90 again,
    for some inexplicable reason.

(OK, I just want to win another trophy).

    Maybe... Possibly...

Last time we headed that way everyone piked at the last minute (or went
    to the Alpine instead).

Not sure yet, will get back to you.

and the answer to the other question was Mildura, Queens Birthday Long
weekend, Sealed roads all the way if that's the way you go (except for
the last 100 metres or so).

Betty; it's about 1000km of riding due west on the flattest, dullest, most
windy (wind; not winding) dustbowl roads you can imagine.
Then Goaty torments you for 30 hours, someone spews and you ride home again.

Yes you can say "I did it" but you'd probably be better off saying "I was
smart enough to NOT do it!!"

Since when do people need to know you to point and laugh? Strangers can
    do that just as easily.

    Or....
You take the friday off and head down through Tumut to the Murray, spend
a delightful evening at (say) Jingellic or Wodonga or Rutherglen or
thereabouts, and then ride the Murray Valley Hwy as it winds its way to
    Mildura on the Saturday.

A friendly Saturday night at the rally then you either stay on for a
quiet sunday night, or get an early start on the return journey.

(at least that's what I would be doing if I was coming from the national
cesspool. As it is I'm working the Friday, so I'll be getting ane early
start on Saturday, arriving after lunch. I'll stay the Sat and Sun
night and head home Monday (cursing all the way that I actually *asked*
for my day off to be mondays).)

Ah, THAT Mildura! <grin> Just checked the map - my primary school
geographical knowledge has become fuzzy over the years. Hmmm, long way,
innit! I didn't realise it was nearly in South Australia...

You make it sound like such fun, Clem..... I could definitely be tempted
(it's the Goaty torment thing rather than the spewing...heh heh)

I think you may have missunderstood.

You don't torment Goaty, Goaty torments YOU.
