    Don't say you weren't warned; the year I went Goaty kidnapped my thongs and
    sang "Oh my darling Clementine" at me for about 4 straight hours. (It only
    ended when I finally surrendered and came out of my tent to request that he
    PLEASE use the correct tune instead of the "Oh Tannenbaum" tune he'd been
    using!!

    According to my maps it's about 750km from Canberra. Quite a decent
    day's ride, but if you wake up early enough, and ride singlemindedly
    enough, it's doable, particularly if you're riding alone. Not to
    mention there's really not much to distract you along the way.. Or it's
    a relaxing 1.5 day ride.
    Don't listen to him... he's just bitter he didn't get his trophy.
