LOL, you haven't met my missus. She can't understand why anyone would
    need more than 1 bike.

I'll make her love the Zephyr :)

Lock her in the garage with my five and see how she feels then.
You're going to need to work on your powers of persuasion.

I got there bang on 4pm and buggered off about 20 minutes later.

If it looked like this, odds are it was me:

That might change should she ever get one of her own and have a go on
a few more. Still, mine is adamant she's only going to ever have the
one (current) bike 'cos she loves it so much[1]. Every time I suggest
she try something else or that I am going to buy her a different one,
she digs in her heels and says "no way".
I haven't met her, no-- but I am quite positive there's not one woman
on earth that you or I could *make* do anything she didn't want to do.

[1] She is altitude-challenged so the EX250 is one of the few bikes
    she can flat-foot.

Well whilst she can't understand the need for more than 1 bike I can't
understand the need for 50+ pairs of shoes, but there you are I guess...
Heh, how could she not love the Zephyr, it's bloody gorgeous.
So's mine, but she likes big cars, so I hope she'll feel the same about
    big bikes.

Bugger, we were prolly gone about 20 minutes before you arrived.
Shame, I'd have badgered you for a CIHAGM.

Heh. The usual HAGM rules would apply, with "or blow it up" added
between "bend it" and "mend it".

It's so hard not to thrash it - when that last valve opens, it pelts
toward the redline like a hyperactive whippet. I need to get in touch
with Dave Cooper and see if he has any Dyno run data for it lying around
I can snarf a copy of.

This is the bike being built for Danny to race next season, and guess
    who'll be spannering it?

That'd turn into a rather expensive hobby and I wouldn't trust a heavily
tuned stroker engine as far as I could throw it. The 250 motor doesn't
produce a vast amount of power (62bhp, allegedly) but it does it such an
insane way it's more grin-inducing than a trouserful of curious ferrets.

I'd never have guessed that in a million years. However, knowing something
and doing something about it don't necessarily go hand in hand.

In this case 2 miles further down the road, but it was a scamera van so
probably play-plod, Oh and not in the 50, but in the newly extended 40.
