Took my little Fantic Trials and sons DT 125 LC [1] out to play today and
met up with a few lads at the local 'scrambles' tracks. CIHAGM ... brand
new Yamaha WR450 ... feckin' shite off a shovel isn't a good enough
    description.

I used to ride Enduro a long while ago and thought it wouldn't be up to
much, but my oh my how things have improved. The suspension literally
soaked any bump and jump up, and the torque and power available. Jeez, but
    it was bloody great.

Now I'm contemplating spending some serious wedge [2] and getting into a
much more modern Enduro bike again ... ;)

    [1] with son too .. ;)
[2] As opposed to the £400 for the Fantic and £300 for the DT

Nice to here. You want to go orange. A nice KTM exc200 is perfect.
I have the 300 and always wish I'd opted for the 200. Lots of people on the
    racing circuit
are returning to 2 stroke after 4 stroke. At most enduro's the parc ferme is
    a sea of orange.

Took my 10R out for a blast today. Fun doesn't even start to describe
it because the roads were just about dry and it was even fairly warm.
I'd forgotten how easy 100mph wheelies are on sports bikes.

Bikes of any description are fucking ace.

I shall be spending one part of tomorrow cleaning and sorting the KTM for a
    race on the 5th.
The other part I'm hoping to take the 9R out for the first time since
    November!

****. It's pissing down rain here today. The DL sits under it's
waterproof cover while I sit here drinking coffee.
    To right.

I rode the 10 over the xmas break and the last time before that was
Silverstone in early November. I love riding it but not when it's shit
    weather.

    Heh, my thoughts exactly.

I took the old Zephyr out for a blast today, and came back feeling somewhat
    renewed.

    Bikes fucking rock.

Best weather for ages. Still slippery bits to look out for though -
    thanks farmer Giles.
I dunno. I had an ER5 loaner (the old style one) yesterday and I think
to describe the experience as ace would be stretching it. 'A struggle'
    is how it felt.

Linger came up with the following;:
    Only 2 stroke I rode was a PE175, about 1978/79/80 ish .... awesome thing
IIRC. I always had XR Hondas, local sponsorship deals etc, until i went
    road-racing ... ;)

We have a KTM dealer nearby though .... ;)

Andy Bonwick came up with the following;:
The Fantic is 156 cc, but if it were cc's per smile it'd be about eighty
    litres.

    Wish I were fitter ... ;)
