I finally upgraded from the humble postie to a Kwaka ZZR 250 : )

For them's what remember, I've had the postie for several years... too long!

    I picked up a 2000 model, with 25 000ks, reg'd and rwc'd for $4800. It's in
mint condition with service history. (So as long as I don't drop it, I'll be
able to sell it for a similar price in a year or so ; )

It's amazing to have this thing called acceleration! And to be able to
overtake cars on straights, rather than wait for tight right-hand uphill
hairpins... And best of all, I have time off over easter, so every day
between tomorrow and next wed will be out riding!

I don't think I can equal BT with his GPX, but I racked up some serious k's
on the postie, and am looking forward to doing the same with the ZZR.

    Cheers,
    Adrian

Nah, I'm sure you'll overhaul my record within a couple of years. You
only need to add 110,000km to your current total. ;-)

    Acceleration? LOL!

    I guess it's all relative...

I reckon I could come close!
Have done 1026kms on it already : )

Roads that were just boring on the postie are quite interesting now, ie,
Kinglake west to flowerdale.. (for melb riders).

What do you mean boring... you'd be able to go down the entire length of
that road with the throttle to the stopper and never backing off...
(Though I imagine the climb up the hill from Whittlesea would be
    boring!)

Trust me, those corners at a max speed of 80km/hr are boring. Try it
    sometime ; )

Hill up from Whittlesea boring? Absolutely! Fun coming down though, is where
    I got postie's max speed of 105km/hr.
Do you know the Eden park twisties? My dad put me on to them, are a hoot if
you're coming up from epping on high st.

Fun roads for the postie are Hurstbridge to Kinglake, and Chum Ck rd...
they're also lots of fun on the ZZR :D

    Cheers,
    Adrian.
