Sigh, why do I always buy bikes that can't wheelie. As you may be able to see, the front is too heavy for lifting...
Silly question. Of course I've tried the brakes, this is *me*. The 06 model has gone over to a radial master cylinder, which is supposed to do something technical as an improvement, apparently. All I know is that the front end is probably the most planted I've ever experienced on a bike and very confidence inspiring. The back end needs a bit of playing with at some point, as it's still a bit too firm over the bumps for the road, but I suspect it'll just be a click or two less compression damping, and maybe a bit less preload so the spring can do a bit more work. I'll probably have a look in another 500 miles or so, when I'm used to it's road behaviour and can make a more educated guess.
Heh. Hopefully I'll get to that part once it's run in. I believe the '06 is less wheelie prone than the model you/Andy/Chris have, but I suspect that's like saying "It's only 97% mental".
