They're coming *very* close to "honey, I'm home" in the dread stakes.

And they are, of course, "the Triumph fuel injection is leaking
    *again*". Arse.

  2. God, Timo, flog it and buy a bike with carbs. Oh no, you did that
    already....

Worse still would be to wake finding you in a dressing gown with a cup of
tea saying "you were wonderful last night"

    ;)

That bike's afflicted, mate. Flog it.

They're not all like that, y'know? Mine didn't have a single problem with
the FI in the three years and 23k miles I had it.

It's not the bike that's afflicted.

Heh. Although I have be gazing lustingly after Pans (ST1100, not the
new one) recently when I noticed that the FI was up to it usual fun
and games. This is of course working on the assumption that the
    janitors can't break them.

Which of course means that it'll last a week with me, max.

And of course it's not the blimmin' O-Ring either. *Every* time it
starts leaking the usual response from an Triumph dealer is "change
the O-Ring, that cures 99.9% of the problems, if it doesn't, bring it
in". Of course in my case the 0.01% just struck again. It's not even
one of the quick-release unions that leaks, noooo, it's one of the
    joints.

And of course the Bimota is currently awaiting it's MOT.

Why does it always have to piss on *me*?

    Yeah, like, in UKRM? ;-)
The FI system starts leaking from the quick-release unions eventually
on all those bikes, simply because Triumph in their infinite wisdom
decided to use plastic unions that go brittle with age. But mine's got
alloy replacements in so it decides to leak elsewhere instead.

You know how mechanically complex modern mtbs are, do you think that's
    really a good idea?

It gets worse. In about half an hour I'm off for a week while I learn

About every 10 years, when what they predicted actually happens.... so,
sometime in the next 10 years, Timo will buy a Honda.

uk.rec.cycling is crap on the maintenance side of things. They're too
busy advocating push bikes as the one true mode of transport.

Mine didn't have a single problem with the FI in the four years and
    26k I had it for.

    Then Timo bought it...
