Superbike season has begun. What are peoples' predictions for the first
race of the season in Valencia tomorrow? I'm personally looking forward to
seeing Haga on some competitive machinery again and recon Toseland will be
hard to beat. That said, Regis Laconi qualified fastest in the first
    qualifying session yesterday...

I appreciate that some people no longer give a damn about World SBK,
especially since all the rule-change fuckwittery, but I'm actually quite
excited about this year's racing in WSBK, BSBK and especially MotoGP. It
should be great, especially now the Beeb have coverage of all 3 series.

Heh, as long as you don't mind waiting until a week after
the race and have a video set when they show it at 2am.

Try watching motocross. Impossible without a VCR.
Funny, coz the events get packed!

Same here, since my change of home. No more Land lady coming in and
shouting *crap* at me when I'm watching bikes on telly.))

Looking forward to the MotoGP too, with all those nice 4 stroke machines
    they have now.

At least WSBK is live... give it time and I'm sure BSB will be live too.

SBK live on BBC2? You're joking, right?
They only ever show the second race as live on the
weekends when there isn't any horse-racing, athletics
or some other mind-crushingly dull event on.

On Eurosport you get the whole lot live, from qualifying
    through to the post-race interviews.

And that's MotoGP and SBK. Sky does a fairly good coverage
    of BSB too.

Well, it's live tomorrow, and I'm pretty sure most of last year was
live as well. However I do watch it on Eurosport due to the
commentary being better. Pictures are from the same source though.

tbf, "mind-crushingly dull" is a good description of SBK.

The MotoGP EuroSport lot _really_ love their bike racing don't they. :)

Was it ever last season. I don't think I watched a
full race, let alone both races in a day.

    MotoGP on the other hand...

As long as they don't go on about Toseland's piano this year.

  14. Yep - I think the Toby and Julian show is excellent. Makes the whole
Moto GP broadcast worth watching - their enthusiasm and knowledge and
respect for the riders and their teams are unsurpassed in my view.

I can't wait for the 2004 season to start again so my Sundays will, once
    again, be complete :)

Yeah, I heard it too. Ho hum. Isn't it nice to see a Honda amongst all
those 999 Ducatis. Shame the ZX-10R is so off the pace, but that's life in
    the Kawasaki camp I suppose.

I don't understand this attitude: You like bikes and you love crashing,
motogp has both. What's not to like?
