Grandson Chris turns 6 next July. He has long been a fan of poppy at the farm's motorbikes. Initially he didn't like the noise of them starting, but that's no longer a problem. He always enjoyed sitting in front of me and going for a ride on the farm bike. Before turning 5, he quickly ditched the training wheels from his pushy when told he wasn't allowed to ride the peewee50 we had got for him, unless he could ride the pushy without trainers. He has since graduated from the peewee - a great kids bike, to a Suzi ds 80. He is progressing well on that; feet can't yet touch the ground but we are working around that, and there are problems with using gears, clutch and even hand reach - but its all coming together. So much for the intro., now to the present. At preps in school this week, the letter for discussion\learning is K. Included in the learning process, students are invited to come forward and place on the central table any item they may have the name of which starts with the relevant letter. I happened to have given him a small rubber type key-ring logo (which is of a yammy wr, but that's not important) to secure his backpack key on. The light switched on, and Chris walked to the table and placed the logo thereon. Well, that caused some concern. The teacher said thanks Chris, but that's not right, that is a motorbike, motorbike starts with M. He responded, "no, sorry Miss, that is a kawasaki... starts with K". The rest of the class just didn't understand. rockit
The teacher said thanks Chris, but that's Classic! That's so cute... I bet the teacher has that one recorded as one of the rare "Golden Moments" that you remember years and years later. betty betty
