  2. Because it's being offered to me free. It was described as a trials bike but
    having seen the picture it looks like the bastard child of many things.

    If the OP can be bothered trawling through this site there's photos and
    brochure scans for most Suzukis dating waaay back.

    That's not an X7 engine. Wrong shape cyl head and left engine casing.

    It's a Yamaha RXS100 engine in what looks like Suzuki PE175 frame.
