**** 'em if they don't like it. He's as entitled to choose the army as

I'm no admirer of the royal shamily but at least Prince Andrew refused
to take any escape from action options when he was a helicopter pilot.

I suppose the Army will keep it quiet just when he goes; indeed, the
first we hear of it might be when he returns. Assuming that, it will be
interesting to see what the press will do if the story leaks to them
during his sojourn over there - I will not be a bit surprised if they
splash it all over the rags and make him a target that was previously
unknown.

Given the scum we have working for the rags...

According to a former work colleague who used to be in Navy munitions
(explosives), Randy Andy was cool as a fucking cucumber during action.
At one point, a wind-up message concerning an enemy having full lock on
his hairdryer and inbound at speed was radio'd to him ... his response
was the classic "out" thing, delivered in a toff's tone, as he put as
much space between his chopper (heh) and the ship as he could in the
time allowed, making himself a bigger target than the boat, by spinning
up and backward on approach.

No idea if it's true. Any ex Navy types confirm that that's what's
supposed to happen to a chopper pilot under attack on approach? CDC?

Oh, and 2 junior officers got demoted over it, as it was a "time of
war", and false messages, however amusing, were deemed a no-no.
