Think positive man! You'll be on the slopes by lunchtime.

Not our fault if you fail to observe the "leave the bike in the garage"
advice in the thread title, is it?

"Spiritualized performing their seminal album Ladies and Gentlemen we
are floating in space live in its entirety...
....It's 12 years since the release of this album which set the summer
    of 1997 on fire."

Oh, yeah, 1997...summer on fire...*that* seminal album.

    Who are they again?

The odds on a white Christmas in Paris have dropped today. It's a
nightmare out on the roads, so I'm staying in, in the warm. :)

I'm vaguely surprised they're not up your street. They're like the
    acceptable child of smack-addled prog.

Cool, but I've never heard of them!

I'm just listening to Rebuilding the Wall[1] at the moment; I might
google some Spiritualized stuff after that.

I stuck a pony on a white christmas in London last night before the odds
    started to collapse completely.

On a similar note, I see the best odds on RATM winning the chart battle
are 1/18 vs 4/9 for Joe McWossname. They think it's all over...

Ladies and Gentlemen... is their magnum opus, but they have some great
tracks going back to Pierce's previous band, Spacemen 3.

The best introduction to the first three albums is the Albert Hall live
album from '97. One of the best gigs I've ever been to (albeit it in
    Birmingham on the same tour).

Think I'm In Love, Medication, Shine a Light and Stop Your Crying are
    standout tracks generally.

    It's OK
Haven't listened, as I didn't see it at my usual supplier of dodgy MP3s
    website
    Gave up half way through
    Utter dirge.
For varying values of standout, yes. I'm not sure what the
    non-standout ones are like!

And guess who's now got to get to Luton for 5am on Saturday?

Yep, flight cancelled and now coming to Bedford for the evening.
Another evening in the pub beckons...

And having to fly luton-Gva early in the morning. Don't you just love

Don't overdo it, he has an early start.

    Oh, I dunno.

An evening of talking bollocks in the pub with Andy and a selection of
Charles Wells' finest beats skiing any day.)

You have to love the irony of not being able to go skiing because it's
    snowed too much.

Don't forget the pub food, that's an important part of the evening.

Adie'll be there as well btw.
