So, the bike has been written off due to te damage sustained in the accident
in Croydon with the Merc who felt he should bugger of and leave me lying on
    the side of the road.
Since it's only done 350 odd miles, what's the procedure with asking to buy
    it off the insurance company?
The first thing I've got to do is drive up and change the akrap full race
system with the original one before the insurance git comes along and
notices it, then informing me the bike shouldn't have had it on and so
they're not going to pay out...
Do I make them an offer for the bike or will they offer me the bike at a
    certain price?
Anyone interested in buying the CBR600RR off me for cost?

I don't want the bike anymore, but if someone here wants it for what the
insurance company will sell it to me for then let me know, and I'll follow
whatever advice people can gie me! (Or totally ignore it if it's in the
    usual ukrm trend:))

    Ross.

  2. Did the zorst contribute to the accident? if not then they can't refuse
to cough up for the write off. They won't off course cover the cost of
the Akra. system. They might however drag their feet on payout but since
    when is that new?
What's it likely to cost to put back together?
    Does it run as is?

Could make me a nice winter hack ;)

Doesnotcompute was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever:
IU sir is after a niceish winter hack may I point him in the direction
of my Sprint ST? Mucho cheapness, and the gremlins should be exorcised
    by now...

  4. Not cheap enough, not really looking, but a CBR6 for 50 pence and a bag
    of crisps might be tempting...

The first thing I've got to do is drive up and change the akrap full
The engine cover broke, causing all the oil to come out of the bike. It
still changes gears and the apart from the engine casing the only damage
appeared cosmetic to me, like great big slide marks over the fairing.
Apparently there's damage to the crank case (?) which will apparently cost
£2k on it's own to replace.
I haven't tried to start it since it stopped whilst lying on its side
    outside Croydon nick...
