Lozzo emerged from their own little world to say
It is. Forum has been adapted for many uses since the original Latin. Two
    definitions that apply to UKRM:

"a public facility to meet for open discussion"
    http://wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn?s=forum

"An online discussion group or newsgroup (see USENET)"

Look up, tonight. See that small bright spec, near Mars? That's your
    rattle, that is.

She wasn't "forced to lay the bike down". She skided and dropped it. 99
times out of 100, anyone who says they were "forced to lay it down" is
talking bollocks. What does it achieve, anyway? You can't steer out of
trouble when you're sliding on your arse, and you sure as shit won't
stop as quickly as if you were upright, either, unless you hit some
    solid object.

So we've established that the bike shop are a load of tossers. Fine.
But your initial posting strongly suggested you were trying to pin the
blame on the tyres and that, I'm afraid, is still a steaming pile of
    poo.

    Newbie.
