Some random observations I made during race 1: * The Honda Fireblade does not need coolant. Without it, the pistons will not seize. * Did the marshals go inside to get warm? It looks like blue flags were not used. Lapped riders, like Xaus, were taken by complete surprise, and were holding up the leaders. * Races in the rain really show experience levels. Bayliss rode like a robot, not making mistakes. While his pursuers had occasional slips, Troy looked rocksolid. He made it look easy, being in full control of the bike. * Nori Haga's lean angle is not affected by rain. He's the only rider to push his bike flat. All the others kept theirs much more upright. * I was pleasantly surprised that Eurosport seems to have dropped in- race commercials. * JT has fighting spirit.
