Has anyone got a front mudguard from some old Brit - I'm not fussy.
Doesn't really matter about cosmetic condition as it'll be, roughly,
    painted.

Just as long as it's usable and cheap to the point of being free(ish) and
    50/60s looking.

I had something like this on my old C15 in mind:

    To fit an 18/19" wheel

I also would like a pair of universal brake/clutch levers or where to get
some. You know the nasty pressed things found on Brit bikes like, erm,
    C15s.

Well, I have one in the shed

    somewhere ...

along with a tank for Borg

It's going to be several months until I'm going to be able o get
anywhere near it, it's under a serious pile of rubbish

    In message
I bought it 30 years ago from someone who started and never finished an
engine rebuild, I've not really touched it. I think the engine's in the
    frame, I can't remember.

Cheers. I'll speak to my man at KC Motorcycles.

    Unless anyone's got any...

  9. when I was hunting a mudguard for project boxer, I found a place where they
had some new steel ones for sale, with no fittings or owt. They weren't all
    that pricey.

I thought they did that themselves, automatically?

It's not unlike the mudguard on the front of my old Dnepr, y'know...

....and how big is the wheel on a Dnepr?

I'm pretty sure it was a 19", with a 19-4.75 tyre on it. What size is the
    wheel on your Dnepr?

    19" - hence the need for a mudguard for a 19" wheel

Ah. So it's for the Dnepr? What happened to the old one?

Can't he just beat a piece of Armco to roughly the correct shape?

He'd have to hammer out the dent first.

Tch! Lateral thinking. Hammer the dent *in* a bit more, cut it off
around the outside wivva nangle grinder. Molish a couple of stays from
coat hangers and paint to suit.

I've got a little pin-striping tool here if you want to go the whole
    hog.

    Sorted.
