What avg speed?

I'm pretty sure the R1200GS can do 4.8 or 4.9 or so at 90km/h, but I'm
always going 110-120.

But the differences between supposedly identical 95octane fuels is
remarkable. 5.1L/100km vs 5.5L/100km? Don't fuel up at Wagga Wagga
Caltex.

Damn fuel gauge though. It was reading -20km (well, it read "0" 20km
before, and then the display went blank) and I was babying it through
the great dividing range. When I eventually found a town another 17km
later, the tank still only accepted 18.5litres. I had previously seen
the gauge read 7km to go, and the tank accepted 18.5litres then too.
The last 1.5L of my tank must be a little miniature Mary Poppins
tank.

himself I had no option but to back him. And back then I had not yet
found reasons to seriously doubt George's veteran status. Times have
changed though...

Life is full of disappointments. I'm happy that those I slag off at
more than deserve it. Occasionally I make mistakes and in such cases
I have always apologised.
