    Rocks.

So far, but certainly way better than OE ... ;)

  2. Is there something that a newsreader is supposed to do that I don't know
about? It's just that people are always comparing them and rating one
against another as if they were accounts software.

I just use boring old netscape 7.2 and it works even though I've heard
people slagging it off. What does it not do or do badly?

Perhaps it's a power-user thing and I'm just using it to read newsgroups?

New-fangled technology. I'm using Netscape Communicator 4.8 and other
than a few quirks it's the only one I've ever really got along with.

None of that fancy la-de-dah Netscape 4.8 for me. I'm happy with my
    Eddison duplex telegraph machine.

yeah. it's supposed not to strip off spaces at the end of the line that
you put there for a perfectly good reason.

I've had a look at the website and fancy giving it a try. I notice
that it doesn't mention it's compatible with Vista. Anyone know if it
    is?

  7. Oh, does mine do that?

Oh, you're referring to OE and the sig thing, no?

    I like xnews for:-

    Selective quoting for replies
    Kill-files
    Scoring based on regexs
    Colour highlighting
    Multiple server correlation
    Multiple identities

Probably more that I can't think of right now.

  9. That one I could do with. The readers of the spanish language groups all
know what type of motorcycle I have.

    <noting your sig>...

It can handle different signatures as well. For example I don't use one
here, but I do on the snowboard group, and I change it slightly when
posting to the european skiing group.

    Very useful.
